I wasn’t the most popular girl on the playground, in the cafeteria or at the party (yes, I went to ONE in college and I am still an adoring friend to the gal that dragged me to it!). BUT, when we’re friends…we’re friends for life. The women I surround myself come from different backgrounds, different age groups (23-50), different lifestyles (single, engaged, married to men, married to their jobs, Mom’s, baby haters) but they do have a lot in common. They are all gorgeous (I don’t mean on the inside, I mean their faces. These ladies are hot), intelligent, confident, strong, hilarious and colorful in their beliefs and points of view. They serve a purpose in my life in different ways for each and I appreciate them for exactly who they are, where they have come from and support anywhere they want to go. Without them in part or in whole, I wouldn’t be as funny, motivated, empowered, compassionate or brave.
This page is my ode to them, because without them…I’d still be that sad little girl with braces, bad, too-short bangs, walking around East Norriton Middle School in a pink gingham dress with matching tights, turtle neck and penny loafers.
Thanks Mom.
